Home Our partners

When Seametrey Children's Village was founded, our first sponsor was Human Info NGO in Anvers, Belgium, directed by Dr. Michel Loots, MD. Then little by little, we found partners in two organisations - Outreach International UK directed by James Chapman, Travel to Teach based in Thailand and directed by Kerstin Ahlzen, and Développement sans Frontières based in France, directed by Christian Roy-Dumat. Those organizations regularly send us volunteers.

Our volunteers are our direct sponsors. Through their work and their contribution they have helped Seametrey grow from strength to strength. When they go back, some of them continues to support and raise money in their home countries for us*.

The Cambodian-Swiss Education Fund (CSEF) has been more and more steadfast in their support since 2007. Alex Hofmann and Marcel Kuster regularly visit our school and have been providing encouragement and advice while bringing more and more significant donations to Seametrey Children's Village. Support also comes in the form of technical assistance. Our beautiful hotel web site has been the fruit of endless work of our Swiss sponsors.

More support...

In 2008, thanks to Peuples Solidaires in France and Human Info NGO in Belgium, we were able to send two staff members for a year long training in India. A friend who work at the British Council in Singapore, Karol Lapsley, has secured a British Council scholarship for one of our teaching assistant and she has taken upon herself to host her for a year.

Recently, thanks to Laura Frazer and her tireless effort and charisma and thanks to Tom Bible, we were able to send another staff member to London for a year. Offering quality training to our staff is always one of our top priorities. If you wish to help us and if you are interested in sponsoring one of our Khmer teachers, please visit our donation page.

Not to be forgotten...

We will not forget our children's parents. Our school is the result of solidarity. Parents pay according to their income : the well-to-do help the less fortunate, the help us being proud of runing a school with a difference.
